The unique mission of a community foundation is to serve as a source of community capital for a dedicated geographic region: in our case, Charlotte Co, FL! A community foundation also acts as an “umbrella” organization by supporting all sectors – animals, the arts, community service organizations, education, the environment, health care, human services, seniors and veterans.
Under new leadership at both board and staff levels, CCF has recommitted to building endowment or permanent community capital – to meet current and future needs in Charlotte County. Endowment is effectively a savings account for our community; we invest donors’ contributions, spending the interest as grants and scholarships, now and forever.
These grants and scholarships are made possible by community members past and present who have invested locally through CCF.
You can support existing funds or start a new one (and add to it with an estate gift).
Or plan to give in the future through your will, trust, and retirement account beneficiary plans.
We work with donors and their professional advisors to help meet their charitable goals – and we can even help you define yours. As a resource for local philanthropy, we welcome the opportunity to discuss funding possibilities with a no-cost no-obligation conversation.
Through current or future giving, including the option to give anonymously, you can fulfill your charitable goals and make a lasting impact on our community. Permanent funds (names for you or a loved one) that forever benefit Charlotte co. start at $5,000.
Our Board of Directors and a savvy group of dedicated professionals who lend their expertise as finance and Audit Committee members work with our investment consultants to steward our funds for long-term growth, stability, and permanence to honor donor intentions in perpetuity.
