Randy Bateman Memorial Fund

The Randy Bateman Memorial Fund was established by Randy’s family to provide scholarship opportunities for future members of the Power Generation Industry.

Mr. Bateman was a lifelong Floridian who lived his entire life on his family’s ranch. After graduating from DeSoto High School he went on to attend the University of Florida. Soon thereafter, he began his 39-year career with Florida Power and Light, starting out as a mechanic and rising to the position of Central Maintenance Outage Manager.  He was committed to provide and participate in safety practices, always encouraging others to make safety a number one priority.  Randy was a dedicated and conscientious member of the FPL/NextEra Team. While Randy’s accomplishments were numerous, those he was the  proudest of were his wife, children and family.

All proceeds from the Randy Bateman Memorial Fund will be used to grant education scholarships to those seeking a career in the Power Generation Industry.
